Cookie Policy

IMPORTANT NOTICE – This Cookie Policy applies to the WhistleB website (https://old.whistleb.swace.se), NOT to the web-based whistleblowing service provided by WhistleB (the whistleblowing channel). The WhistleB whistleblowing service does not track any meta data related to a whistleblower.

What are cookies?

Cookies and other online tracking technologies are small bits of data or code that are used to identify your devices when you use and interact with our websites and other services. Cookies cannot access, read, or modify any other data on a computer.

Legal basis for cookies and similar technologies

We ask your consent for placing cookies and use similar technologies. We do this by providing a notice in the form of a cookie banner.

Use of cookies

We make use of cookies on this website. A cookie is a small file that a website stores on your hard drive via the browser. Why do we use cookies?

  • To improve the functioning of the website.
  • To facilitate the use of the website.
  • To measure whether visitors can easily find information on our website.
  • To provide social media features
  • To analyse our website traffic and identify leads

Permanent cookies

By using permanent cookies we ensure that certain actions do not have to be re-executed. Such cookies allow us to recognise the preferences you might have specified during a previous visit to our website. Permanent cookies can be removed through the settings of your browser.

Session cookies

Session cookies allow users to be recognised within a website so any page changes or item or data selection you do is remembered from page to page. Session cookies are automatically deleted when you close the browser.

Social media cookies

On our website, you will find buttons that allow you to promote our messages or web pages on social media through clicking buttons. These buttons work through snippets of code of social media platforms. Cookies are placed through this code. We have no influence on such placed cookies. The social media platforms decide what they do with your data; you can find their privacy policy on their website.

Analytics cookies

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. Google Analytics uses ‘cookies’ (text files placed on your computer) to help the website analyse how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. Google uses this information to track how you use the website, compiling reports on website activity for website operators and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties if Google is legally required to do so, or where such third parties process the information on Google’s behalf. Google will not associate your IP address with other data held by Google. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser. We point out, however, that you might not be able to use all features of this website in this case. By using this website, you consent to the processing of data by Google in the manner and for the purposes set out above.

Lead generation

In order to analyse who is visiting our website, we make use of the services of Albacross Nordic AB, a specialised third party offering lead identification and ad targeting services. Albacross gathers information about the IP-address from which you visited the WhistleB website and technical information that allows to tell different visitors apart that are originating from the same IP-address (cookies). If you provide information about yourself on the WhistleB website, domain information about your employer therein may be collected and stored, but not your name, in order to correlate the IP-address with your employer. By using this website, you consent to the processing of data by Albacross in the manner and for the purposes set out above.

Thank you for reading our Cookie Policy.
